Audeze is a high-end headphones manufacturer who are responsible for development of many great solutions including Fluxor Magnetic Technology, Uniforce voice-coil technology, Fazor soudwave management technology. Their range includes the LCD, EL8, Sine and iSine and Mobius series.

Audeze was founded in 2008 by Sankar Thiagasamudram and Alexander Rosson. They met Pete Uka an engineer who produced specialised flexible circuit materials for NASA and instantly discovered the material was ideal for headphones. Dragoslav Colich joined the team as CTO lending the brand over thirty years of experience in the design of planar drivers which led to the creation of the LCD-1 headphone.

Audeze has patented planar magnetic designs with incredibly thin-film driver materials and dynamic custom magnets. Planars overcome many boundaries inherent in standard cone drivers; lightweight diaphragms are faster and more responsive than more dense moving-coil or dome drivers. Planar magnetic diaphragm also have a voice-coil circuit spread across the diaphragm surface.

The diaphragm’s voice-coil circuit touches with the magnetic field to create an electromagnetic force that sways the diaphragm back and forth producing the sound you hear when energized by an audio signal.
