Revel F208 speakers (Pair) are 3-way, true full range, floorstanding speakers, the best in Revel’s Performa3 range. The F208’s have a sleek design, small footprint and produce an impressive audio performance that has an uncompressed dynamic range and low distortion across a wide frequency range.
Low Distortion
Revel’s F208 loudspeakers use low-frequency and midrange transducers that feature distortion reduction devices to stabilise the flux field, which achieves extremely low distortion levels at even the loudest listening volumes.
Easy Installation
You can enjoy the F208’s in a majority of listening locations as the front-firing port allows you to retain bass response even when in an enclosed space. The fluid-model designed low-frequency port, with identical flares on both ends, minimizes dynamic compression and port-generated noise, to assure a low-distortion low-frequency performance.
Advanced Tweeter Design
Revel’s F208 tweeter has been developed around a advanced motor and dome assembly that improves the speakers transparency. It’s integrated acoustic lens waveguide uses and a highly advanced mathematical approach to accurately match the tweeter's dispersion levels to that of the midrange, which increases the tweeter’s dispersion rate at higher frequencies to give the loudspeaker very smooth sound far off-axis.
Reduced Resonance
The precision transducers make use of their ribbed aluminum cones to reduce resonance, a common source on most speakers. For further resonance reductions, cast aluminum frames are used to keep the structure and design strong.
F208 Braced Speaker Design
The F208 has a similar Cabinet design to Revel’s flagship Ultima2 Series, which is fully curved to ensure a stiffer construction, which better than conventional box shapes speakers. The cabinet is formed with contiguous wood layers that prevent splitting and uses strategically oriented bracing to reduce enclosure-induced coloration.
Optional Magnetic Grilles
The Revel F208’s come with magnetic grilles, designed to minimize sonic diffraction, and give you the option to hide the hardware on the loudspeaker baffle, so you can achieve a cleaner and traditional look.
