Advanced Speaker Design

Revel’s B112 Sub uses a 50mm, two-layer, copper voice coil and a fibreglass voice coil former so it can withstand high temperatures, reduce power compression and dramatically increase output

Vented Design

The B112 sub uses a vented design so all of it’s components add to the benefit of increases output, reduced acoustic loss, improve airflow and low distortion levels. The coated cellulose/pulp cone and dustcap assembly is vented under the dustcap and the transducer’s magnet assembly features a triple-stacked vented ceramic 5 magnet with flared vents.

Increased Power Handling

A symmetrical magnetic gap field is created that increases power handling and reduces power compression, which ultimately increases output. This is done with dual symmetrical magnet shorting rings and an extended top pole 15mm-thick top plate that improves the heat and flux distribution for lower distortion.

Strong and Stable

The B112 sub cabinet is built around a cast aluminum frame that is fully vented to minimise acoustic loss caused by excessive back pressure. It also achieves a more stable structure so the transducer can function at it’s high degree of precision. The roll design on the high-temperature nomex spider evenly distributes mechanical stress.
