Product Description
Revel B110 Subwoofer is designed to deliver precise and accurate low frequency performances with plenty of power and energy. Smaller than the B112, the B110 Sub is perfect for smaller sized rooms and looks stylish in your home cinema system.
Why the B110 sub?
The B110 Sub incorporates CAD/FEA optimized high-linearity motor geometry to effectively achieve a precise performance from the two-layer cooper voice coil, the nomex spider and the nitril/butylene rubber surround, which results in a linear motion of all three for a lower distortion level.
Two Layer Copper Voice Coil
The B100’s 50mm two-layer copper voice coil dramatically increases output by giving the transducer a very high Xmax. With a fiberglass voice coil former, the voice coil can also withstand high temperatures, reduced power compression and an increased output.
Strong Build Quality
The B110 Subwoofer has a cabinet made around a cast aluminum frame that is fully vented to minimise acoustic losses caused by excessive back pressure, it also keeps dimensional stability and improves mechanical tolerances.
Further stability is featured inside with a cardboard spacer that is added at the top of the voice coil former to maintain motor geometry, this prevents deformation of the voice coil at high outputs and minimises voice coil rocking modes during hi-power operation.
Rubber Surrounds
Revel’s B110 subwoofer uses nitril/butylene rubber surrounds with patented Plus One technology to increase the speaker’s radiating area, which increases volume displacement, reduced resonance and increases output.
Efficiently Vented
Vents are used to effectively increase airflow through the speaker to ultimately increase output and reduce acoustic loss. Vent technology can be found in the coated cellulose/pulp cone and dustcap assembly, which is vented under the dustcap.
Also found in the transducer’s magnet assembly, which uses a triple-stacked vented ceramic 5 magnet with flared vents that reduce turbulence.
