Product Description
Q Acoustics Concept 50 is a speaker made for larger spaces and is truly a high-end speaker without the high end price tag. Boasting a higher sensitivity for better dynamics and accurate audio that emulates a live performance in your home, the Concept 50 will impress due to its sheer musicality.
Optimised Acoustic Seal
Q Acoustic have redesigned the tweeter driver from scratch specifically for the Concept series which uses a 5-inch mid/bass and 0.9-inch tweeter driver. A remarkably stiff 3mm aluminium baffle plate is the anchor for the drive units which creates the optimum acoustic seal, dampening vibrations and minimising structural coupling.
Improved Power Handling
The Q Acoustics Concept 50 tweeter is air tight and has been engineered to be ‘floating’ away from the baffle which reduces distortion and creates a more seamless crossover region. The bass driver is also larger than average at 30.5mm which improves powerhandling and the crossover itself is secured to an isolation base which keeps it free from sound-affecting vibrations.
HPE Technology
Q Acoustics Concept 50 tower design, by its very nature could introduce unwanted noise within the cabinet. So by employing an HPE (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer) tube design the performance-affecting vibrations are eliminated and help produce the best sound quality possible.
Elegant Design
Q Acoustics have used the same design features as their top-of-the-range model, the Concept 300. Boasting sophisticated design lines, signature aluminium front baffle plate, and stunning, premium high gloss finish. The Concept 30 is iconic and arrives in three lacquers, black, white and silver
Gelcore Technology
For the Concept 50, Q Acoustics have implemented a unique design, specialist non-setting adhesive gel is sandwiched between two individual layers that make up the body of the speaker. The gel converts high frequency vibrations into heat which maintains a focused audio experience.
Isolation Suspension System
The design for the base of the concept 50 has been inspired by the Concept 300 which utilises a suspension system which comes together as a sprung base plate. This system brings greater depth while also creating tighter stereo imaging.
P2P (Point to Point) Technology
To make the cabinet as rigid as possible the Concept 50 uses a P2P (Point to Point) internal bracing which reinforces the parts that are most susceptible to low frequency vibrations.
