Product Description

Pro-Ject Cork It Cork Turntable Mat is designed to offer an improvement in sound for almost any vinyl turntable as cork mats have gained a wide reputation among audiophiles for sounding better than felt mats.

Enhanced Performance

It's surprising to think that a can have such an effect on sound quality, but changing over to a cork mat can make quite a difference. The effect on resonance and the better ability of cork to keep a record from slipping slightly during playback result in a better sound and more accurate pitch, both of which allow you to get more from your turntable.

A great upgrade in sound quality - for a very reasonable price.

Good upgrade over felt, absolute bargain for the money and amazing upgrade sound wise. Could look a little nicer, but guess it doesnt matter when the record covers it anyway.

I'm not yet aware of any great difference in actual audio quality at the moment because I'm tending to play my vinyl at low volumes (new baby next door) so time will tell. What I have noticed is that general static has decreased and the platter now seems to present a much more stable surface upon which to lay my treasured wax judging by the marked absence of expensive stylus noise. And much as I love my project deck I must admit that the serviceable but somewhat flimsy, felt slip mat originally supplied used to act as a veritable magnet for all manner of dust and fluff plus the occasional cat hair. So, for a modest outlay yet will get a noticeable improvement in terms of slipping and muck deflection and a rather appealing, visual enhancement to an already attractive, user-friendly, minimalist design.
