Product Description

Pioneer A-40AE is the latest integrated amplifier under the brand’s original Direct Energy concept employing the newly developed design, pursuing high SNR for an awe-inspiring life-like sound field.

With isolated power supply, custom large capacitors, Direct Function, Power Amp Direct Mode, Aluminium front panel and phono MM input, you get crisp, clear sound just as the artist intended.

Isolated Power Supply

The windings for the power and pre-amplifier and controls are each isolated inside the power transformer to avert mutual noise interference.

Electrolytic Capacitors

The main capacitor, which defines an amplifier’s audio quality, was created in collaboration with ELNA and is a Pioneer-exclusive pure audio capacitor.

Direct Function

A-40AE’s Direct Function bypasses other circuits except for volume to offer a pure listening experience suitable for musical content. The function is finely tuned to enhance the audio.

Anti-Standing Wave Insulators

Anti-Standing Wave Insulator has a special form with no parallel sides within to reduce cavity resonance. This makes sound localisation, tone and scale cleaner while also contributing to flawless connection between the channels and enhanced response to quick sound.

Non-Magnetic Speaker Terminals

The speaker terminals use non-magnetic material, more resistant to external noise, and transmits signals at top purity. A-40AE hosts two sets of speaker outputs (A, B) that can be used separately or in parallel, as well as transparent premium-grade speaker terminals for a sturdy connection.

Connectivity

The A-40AE features a MM phono input terminal enabling turntable connection for quality audio reproduction from vinyl records. The optical and coaxial digital inputs connect your TV or other audio players. Hi-Res Audio is supported too with the ability to process up to 192 kHz sampling rates.

Aluminium Front Panel

The A-40AE has an aluminium volume knob with a solid, high-grade touch and style. The minimalistic aluminium front panel also adds a touch of sophistication to the audio experience.

Direct Energy Design

Pioneer’s Direct Energy Design is based on lossless transfer of energy from amplifier to speakers. The latest models have optimised power supply/output circuit blocks and parts layout. A-40AE adopts Direct Energy Construction which provides power by layering a separate substrate for the shortest possible power supply route because wires have inductance parts likely to cause noise. With this, signal loss and noise can be reduced for a wide sound field and pure sound image.
