Moerch
Moerch designs high-end Hi-Fi equipment such as tonearms and DACs, built with the finest craftsmanship. Some of their most notable products are the DP-8 and DP-6 MKII tonearms, which are Moerch's patented designs.
Moerch have been designing turntable equipment since the sixties, more specifically tonearms. Moerch spent years developing new tonearm designs with the intent of improving tracking, and most importantly, bass performance. While observing correct design fundamentals, material choice, new approaches to mass distribution, and elimination of arm resonances, it required in depth study to create an exceptional tonearm, which eventually resulted in the invention and patenting of an new concept of tonearm. These designs are evident in today's available tonearms, the models DP-8, DP-6 and UP-4.
Moerch's tonearm designs use an arm base with its mounting facilities, balancing rod, bearing assembly, weights and the armtube for the cartridge. The armtube can also be separated from the arm base by removing a nut.
