Product Description

Mitchell and Johnson S815 Stereo Power Amplifier is a top-of-its-class unit, capable of superior performance at the core of an audiophile stereo system. It has substantial connections for both analogue and digital sources for 13 potential source partnerings.

Mitchell & Johnson S815 pre-amplifier analogue inputs connect to the analogue outputs from a source component. Premium sources with balanced connection offer better signal to noise and hum rejection in lengthy  cables where the units sit quite a distance apart. Mitchell & Johnson S815 pre-amplifiers phono stage works with Moving Magnet or Moving Coil cartridges.

Balanced Connections

S815 hosts a balanced input connection via XLR where the audio sgnal is transmitted using two separate conductors. On top of delivering greater noise rejection, when the two linked devices are positioned several meters apart, there will be an enhancement in the transmitted signal to noise ratio.

Source Selection

Input sources can be chosen by rotating the selection knob on the front panel or via the Up/Down buttons on the remote. Audio is muted for a fraction of a second during switching to avoid any unwanted clicks then restored to a low level preventing speaker damage. The remote control is made to operate the chief functions of the Mitchell and Johnson pre/power amp and CD player.
