Product Description
Mission QX-C MKII centre speaker is the 2-way centre speaker in the latest QX MII range. It features two 5” bass drivers and a ring dome treble unit.
The QX-C MKII takes its inspiration from the incredible LX MKII series, enhancing it further. Mission have enlisted crossover modelling, computer-aided optimisation and laser interferometry for the creation of this latest speaker range. The engineers at Mission fine-tuned the components and crossovers, and upgraded the materials and construction to get the best result possible.
Acrylic Fibre Drivers
The QX-C MKII centre speaker drivers are made with a hardwearing acrylic fibre that is long-lasting and sturdy yet adds a delicate look to the speaker. The material allows the mid-range frequencies to be enhanced to be life-like and precise with wonderful clarity. The design is seam-free with conical support and an expanded area of contact with the QX-C MKII voice coil. Experience extraordinary transient impact and timing.
Aluminium Top Plate and Finishes
The cabinet comes in the classic walnut pearl variant as well as two luxurious additions to the range - Lux Black and Lux White. The premium aluminium crafted top plate is sturdy and supports the cabinet splendidly while looking fantastic.
Phase Plug Ring Dome
Experience an extended HF reproduction with the use of a visible phase plug that prevents any cancellation from the centre axis HF waves that are produced close the diaphragm's centre. Traditional domes suffer from distortion due to resonance during high energy, this is not an issue with the QX-C MKII. The QX MKII series is designed to provide a controlled, consistent performance from the 10kHz to 20kHz frequency range.
QX Inverted Drive Geometry
The entire QX range is configured with Missions IDG format. The placement of the treble unit underneath the driver improves time alignment and ensures the sound waves merge at the height of the listeners head.
Groundbreaking Serrated Driver Surrounds
The QX-C MKII driver surrounds are in a class of their own. Mission engineers have enlisted accurate airflow analysis and measurement to keep airflow interference at a minimum, lending to the drivers and ports polished execution.
