Product Description
Mission QX-5 MKII speakers are the largest, top of the range floor standing speakers in the QX- MKII series. The 3-way loudspeaker features a 12” bass driver, 6.5” midrange driver and a ring dome treble unit.
Updated Drivers with Acrylic Fibre
The QX-5 MKII drivers are made with acrylic fibre, a material that combines rigidity and an elegant aesthetic - this type of material is usually reserved for speakers in a much higher price range, setting the QX MKII series apart from its peers. Thanks to the addition of acrylic fibre, you can experience precise mid frequencies and enhanced transient impact and timing.
QX-5 MKII Ring of Fire
The phase plug used in the design of the dome extends the high frequencies by deterring any cancellation of high-frequency waves made close to the centre of the diaphragm. This design ensures that distortion is kept to an inaudible minimum and fantastic performance from 10kHz-20KhZ.
Latest Aesthetic and Aluminium Top Plate
The rigid aluminium top plate complements the cabinets, in aesthetic and support. The cabinets come in the classic walnut pearl finish and well as two more beautiful additions; Lux Black and Lux White.
Inverted Drive Geometry
Missions tried and true IDG format, where the bass/midrange drivers sits above the treble unit, improves time alignment through length of path equalisation, resulting in sound waves merging together exactly where the listeners head would be for a premium listening experience.
Serrated Driver Surrounds
The serrated driver sounds use airflow analysis and meticulous measurement allowing for a seamless performance from the ports and drivers.
