Product Description
Mission’s LX-3D MKII are atmos or rear surround speakers that are built for home cinema systems. They have a 4” bass driver paired with a 25mm microfibre dome tweeter to produce a full range sound with depth and dynamics. They have been upgraded as part of Mission’s new LX Mk2’s range.
LX3D Placement
The LX3D MkII atmos/surround speakers are flexible with their installation. They can be wall mounted up high with the sloping baffle directing the sound downwards or they can be placed on top of your regular speakers with the sound firing upwards.
Whichever you decide, you can get the expansive and immersive sound of home cinema, the perfect addition when running Dolby Atmos. But even if you don’t have a Dolby Atmos, DTS:X or Auro 3D system, these speakers are still ideal as rear atmos/surround speakers. Mount them above head height or behind your listening position.
LX Mk2’s Updated Technology
The LX3D-MKII, like the rest of the LX MKII range, uses technology developed from Mission’s more expensive and high-end ZX and QX models. This technology is the use of ‘comb-tooth’ serrations added around the drivers to help scatter unwanted reflections, resulting in a purer, efficient and more lifelike sound quality.
LX MKII Drivers
The LX-3D MKII uses a lightweight 25mm microfibre dome tweeter paired with a neodymium magnet for maximum magnetic force in a small space. Together they produce crisp and transient highs.
For the mids/lows the LX3D-Mk2 uses a 4” advanced dual-layer fibre bass driver that executes excellent self-damping and has a very high stiffness to mass ratio. It also uses a seamless curvilinear diaphragm instead of a cone and hubcap, which is a new version of the DiaDrive from Mission, used the rest of the LX MKII range.
LX MK2 compatibility
These speakers at their best when matched with other speakers from the Mission LX MKII range. They are all built the same technology to keep the same sound characteristics and are designed with the same intentions in mind, to provide a stylish, high quality sounding home cinema system at a budget price. The LX-3D MkII speakers are available in a choice of Walnut Pearl, Lux Black or Lux White. They match other LX MKII models should you have them and fit with most home decors.
