Product Description
The Martin Logan Motion C10 Centre Speaker makes the ideal complement to your Motion home theatre speaker system. It delivers crystal clear dialogue and effects. Moreover, it can be angled upwards, towards the listener, if mounted on a low shelf. Additionally, Motion C10 Centre Speaker has a compact design, that will fit into more places than larger speakers. Performance and practicality were paramount for the design of the C10.
The Motion range
The Motion range is an ambitious project, that embodies forty years of experience in speaker design. Exclusive technologies are used to produce a series of elegance and performance. The Martin Logan sound is characterized by its realism, articulation and detail. Two innovative technologies are used to create the signature sound, the folded motion tweeter, and the woven fibreglass woofer cone. Finally, the Motion series provides a whole new level of quality and excellence.
Folded motion tweeter
The Motion C10 Centre Speaker uses Martin Logan’s signature thin-film tweeter technology. This is known as the Gen2 FMT and has been improved, with a higher output, and lower distortion, than previous versions. The Folded Motion waveguide profile was chosen from fifty different design options. The waveguide is the concave area that surrounds the tweeter and directs the high frequency sound towards the listener. This has to provide the same dispersion pattern as the woofer. The waveguide ensures enhanced output regardless of the listening position. Moreover, it reduces room resonances and gives a flat frequency response.
Woven woofer
The two 5.5” woven fibreglass woofers, of the Motion C10 Centre Speaker, are well matched to the folded motion tweeter and waveguide. The result is crystal clear highs and lifelike vocals. The Motion C10 Centre Speaker has a 2.5-Way crossover that is designed to eliminate lobing. As a result, the totality of the source is maintained.
Flippable cabinet and great build quality
The C10 features a flippable cabinet, that tilts the sound upwards, towards the listener. This is useful if the speaker is mounted in a low cabinet or shelf. The centre channel in a surround system, normally carries dialogue. However, it can also carry sound effects, so the bass performance needs to be good. Therefore, the Motion C10 Centre Speaker has a bass port. Finally, the cabinet design ensures that there is no resonance. Cutting edge technology is used to give a truly unmatched sound. Three luxury finishes are available, satin white, gloss black and walnut.
