Linn Klimax Exaktbox (6 Channel) Digital Crossover and DAC is an intelligent digital crossover and DAC enabling you to enjoy the most natural sound available by upgrading your system.

The on-board Exakt digital crossover delivers the most natural sound available by perfectly aligning all the frequencies produced by each note—just like live music. Combined with the Katalyst DAC Architecture, you’ll experience an even greater insight into your music.

Compatibility

Klimax Exaktbox also features a transformer-isolated balanced output stage, derived from Linn's reference Klimax DS player, and six channels of onboard amplification. Add a Klimax Exaktbox and upgrade a two or three-way speaker or go for ultimate performance and use one per speaker giving you the capability to upgrade any four, five or even six-way speaker.

Katalyst DAC

Linn's new Katalyst DAC performs digital to analogue conversion with greater precision than ever. It takes an unprecedented level of control over the critical elements that lie at the heart of the analogue signal’s creation; offering improved Data Optimisation, superior Master Clock, independent Power Supplies, a new ultra-low distortion Output Driver and crucially, for the first time, a high-stability input Reference Level.

The latter is vitally important because, at the point of creation, the analogue audio signal is particularly vulnerable even to minuscule variations in the Reference Level, which cause irreversible damage. Katalyst’s high-stability input Reference Level eliminates variations during analogue signal creation, giving you a deeper insight into your music.
