Lehmann always pays close attention to the detail, and this product follows their design ethos. The cable between the power supply and the audio section is shielded. Furthermore, the cases of the power supply and the audio section are made of aluminium, since as it is nonmagnetic. The case top cover is coated with an anti-resonance treatment.
PWX Power
Lehmann Audio have employed a special torodial transformer (30VA). The PWX power supply is the main reason for the stunning performance achieved with the Black Cube SE. The result of Lehmann Audio's design choices is a significant increase in bass, and a more open liquid midrange. These acoustic benefits are from using a Black Cube SE are without doubt, and probably the reason why vinyl lovers choose the Black Cube SE right from the start.

On listening to a product, if the only criticism you can come up with is that it‘s unattractive looking, you know you are on a winner. If you have a good deck, it deserves the Black Cube SE (TNT-Audio online)

I purchased this to soften a harsh transistor amp which it does perfectly whilst adding detail and musicality to the system.A complete transformation. There is no single switch on the back to change from MMtoMC but you have to adjust the twin banks of 8 switches on the base to suit your cartridge. The importers were very helpful in advising of appropriate settings.
I have used transistor pre amps before but the Tube Box S is a real gem in comparison
