Product Description

KEF LS50 Wireless Bluetooth Speakers draws on the acheivement of the award-winning LS50s retaining the sound performance with the inclusion of audiophile-grade amplification and wireless connectivity.

This gloss black version is completed with a sleek frosted blue driver emanating aesthetic appeal.

For the Digital Age

Orginal passive LS50 received an incredible reception, loved for bringing the pro studio monitor concept to the home and valued for its rich, multi-dimensional soundstage experience. KEF rose to the task of creating a system for the digital generation adding fully active digital studio monitor capability to the LS50.

Uni-Q Array

KEF's highly acclaimed Uni-Q driver array assures a 3-dimensional sound image for a 'sweet spot' listening experience from anywhere in a room. Positioned in the acoustic centre of the bass/midrange cone, the tweeter creates a more precise, detailed and seamless sound image.

The Uni-Q driver, FEA cabinet condensed layer damping bracing, exact-engineered curved baffle and elliptical flexible sound port all function together to remove cabinet vibration, resonance, sound radiation and coloration.

LS50 Wireless achieves perfect time alignment in any room, something that cannot be replicated by other active speakers, via the advanced time correcting DSP crossover and sound dispersion enabled by Uni-Q.

LS50 Wireless has a dedicated DAC per channel, streaming preamp and dual 230W amplification in a bi-amp mono configuration, all of which is factory optimised.

High Resolution

Through an end-to-end 192kHz/24-bit digital signal path, every detail from a high-resolution music source is reproduced fully and accurately. Consequently, the transmission from input to the amplifiers is completely digital and high resolution.

Consistent performance is assured via standard RJ45 termination for interconnect and a Cat 6 shielded cable enhancing bandwidth and headroom while rejecting noise and electromagnetic compatibility.

Connect a broad range of devices via Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX, Asynchronous USB B, Optical and RCA. 12 devices can be connected in total including up to eight Bluetooth devices.

User Control

Incredible listening is as easy as plugging in both speakers and connecting an audio source. LS50 Wireless offers understated elegance in build, a simple set up and ease of use with polished sound fit for audiophiles. Control from a different aspect is possible using the touch-sensitive panel or remote. A dedicated iOS or Android app allows detailed sound adjustment.

Press Reviews

  • What Hi-Fi Award 2018 "Best all-in-one system" (What Hi-Fi magazine)

    What Hi-Fi Award 2017 "Best all-in-one system over £1000" (What Hi-Fi magazine)

  • 'That beautifully built and finished enclosure is the same as the passive version… We don’t tend to talk much about ports, but the one here is unusual in that it’s flexible in a bid to reduce distortion.' (What Hi-Fi Magazine July 2017)

  • 'The LS50 Wirelesses sound clean and precise. They dig up so much detail and deliver it in an organised and stable manner. We’re struck by the KEF’s subtlety and their ability to generate strong dynamic shifts without stress.' (What Hi-Fi Magazine July 2017)

  • 'These are small speakers but they manage to fill our medium sized listening room with high volume levels… they render a lovely, expansive soundstage that’s neatly layered and nicely defined. Once set-up properly we think KEF’s engineers have struck a really nice tonal balance. It’s even-handed yet refined enough to make the most of less than optimal recordings or sources. ' (What Hi-Fi Magazine July 2017)

  • 'These aren’t big speakers so you won’t get really deep floor shaking bass, but they generate low frequencies that are taut, articulate and punchy… The good news continues higher up the range with a transparent and fluid midrange and insightful highs. Vocals are delivered with passion while percussion comes through with bite and composure.' (What Hi-Fi Magazine July 2017)

  • 'The LS50 Wirelesses are rhythmic too, delivering the song’s unmistakable momentum with determination. They never sound too pushy either, allowing the song’s natural flow to come through.' (What Hi-Fi Magazine July 2017)

  • 'Overall, these speakers have the insight to unravel a recording yet never go so far as to tear the music apart. They’re informative but always musical with it. KEF has done a terrific job here. It has taken the award-winning LS50s and made them an even better proposition… Is this what the hi-fi system of the future should look like? We certainly hope so.' (What Hi-Fi Magazine July 2017)
