Product Description
JVC DLA-NP5 4K Projector is an entry-level projector that uses a three-chip design with 0.69inch native 4K at 120HZ. The DLA-NP5 is HDMI 2.1 compatible and uses the same lens as JVCs other premium projectors, the DLA-NZ7 and DLA-NZ8 models.
Light Source and Lens
Rather than a laser, the DLA-NP5 4K projector uses a traditional bulb (265W) that outputs 1900 lumens through a 6mm, 17 element, 15 group all-glass lens, the same lens used in the DLA-NZ7 and DLA-NZ8 models. It has a healthy contrast ratio of 4000,00:1 and has a motorised focus with 2x optical zoom as well as a motorised lens shift of 34% horizontal and 80% vertical and is capable of an image size from 60 to 200 inches (diagonal range).
HDMI 2.1 Compatible
The JVC DLA-NP5 is a 4K/120Hz projector and is HDMI 2.1 compatible, the HDMI 2.1 inputs have HDCP 2.3 and a 48Gbps bandwidth. This is good for gaming as it has the capability of running 4K up to 4096 x 2160 pixels and is able to display HDR10+ content.
Frame Adapt HDR
The DLA-NP5 also comes with Frame Adapt HDR, this adds an algorithm-based dynamic tone mapping system on a frame-by-frame basis to static HDR10 signals. The projector also comes with Theater Optimizer that automatically adjusts any tone mapping based upon the installation environment.
High-Speed LSI
The DLA-NP5 includes JVC’s high-speed LSI, LSI improves the processing of video and still image codecs of formats such as 4K, 2K, full HD, 2D/3D and high speed photographs. Additionally, the projector comes with signal and input processing that is faster than JVC’s previous technology which enables H.264 video processing at twice the JVC’s previous technology.
