Product Description
The newly redesigned Grado Platinum moving coil cartridge has had its coil design reconfigured, resulting in an even more impressive musical performance - excellent sound at a more accessible price than the Master and Reference models. The improvements to the cartridge has reduced effective moving mass of the generating system by 17%. All this is hand-assembled within a machined, new processed, Australian Jarrah wood housing.
The Platinum uses a four piece OTL cantilever technology achieving an additional 10% tip mass reduction over the Prestige series. The coils are wound with ultra-high purity long crystal (UHPLC) oxygen free copper wire. It also features Grado's specially designed elliptical diamond stylus mounted on a brass bushing.
