The Spectral 40th is inspired by the 90's models but implements new technologies for vivid, accurate and expressive sound.

The Spectral 40th floorstander is an impressive 3-way bass-reflex featuring dynamic drivers with Aramid Fibre cones that offer exceptional power handing. Beautifully designed with iconic yellow cones, it represents both old and new with it's vintage-esque looks and modern technological advancements.

Dynamic Arambid Fibre Cone Drivers

Spectral 40th longstanding speaker features a 6 inch midrange driver with K2 cone, Aramid Fibre tweeter with K2 'M'-shaped dome and twin 7 inch woofers with K2 sandwich cones. These specially designed drivers with Aramid fibres deliver the clearest, most precise sound with such dynamic detail that total listening pleasure is guaranteed, whatever genre of music you're listening to.

M-Profile Inverted Dome Tweeter

The M-profile inverted dome tweeter used in the Spectral 40th is Focal's newest generation of of the model, designed to exceptionally mellow sound with crystal clear details. It has strong power handling and a high efficiency design for optimum performance.

Modern Technologies

Alongside the development of the new M-Profile dome tweeter, Focal's special floorstander features advanced acoustic filtering for an extended frequency range. Alongside this, Powerflow vent system technology employed in the bass multi-port brings added depth to the bass performance without dynamic compression.
