Product Description
Custom Design's iRAP Isolation Resonance Absorbing Platform is specially manufactured from Custom Design’s Acoustic Steel material that they have developed for its absorption and dampen resonance vibration characteristics. The method of the iRAP is to isolate the hi-fi equipment from the rack by absorbing unwanted energy and also any static generated by racking.
Patented Polymer
The Isolation platform manages to acoustically isolate via a sandwiched patented polymer between 2 sheets of steel (constrained layer dampening). The sandwich design converts the resonance to thermal energy by the creation of friction (resonance). The acoustic improvements from the platform are self- evident, but also it is versatile so it can be adapted to any support system, that requires only 20mm of height.
Standard Fit
Available in various sizes as standard to fit most equipment (custom sizes available on request), the iRAPs offer a huge difference in acoustic clarity and separation compared to standard hi-fi shelf supports. By using Custom Design's iRAP you will easily notice the improvements to the bass depth, and significant improvement in the dynamic range and detail.
