Product Description
The Bowers & Wilkins CWM362 In-Wall Speakers feature a 160mm Polypropylene cone bass/midrange driver with a 25mm soft dome tweeter mounted in a waveguide. The minimal-width border design matches the ceiling speakers in the same range. Moreover, they can be used in damp environments such as pool rooms and shower rooms.
There are three models in the 300 series with a power handling of around 80 watts each. Bowers & Wilkins CWM362 In-Wall Speakers can also be used to create Dolby Atmos home cinema systems.
Why in-wall speakers?
In-wall speakers such as the Bowers & Wilkins CWM362 In-wall speakers are more discrete than conventional speakers. They can also be installed into a custom home cinema room or used with conventional stereo systems. In-wall speakers are also useful in locations such as dining rooms or patios. The Bowers & Wilkins CWM362 speakers are moisture-proof and can be used in pool rooms and shower rooms. Another advantage is there are no visible cables or bulky speaker boxes.
Dolby Atmos and wall speakers
Dolby Atmos is a home cinema system that uses multiple channels to create a 3D sound effect. There can be up to fifteen or more speakers used in a Dolby Atmos system. These include side, ceiling, and rear speakers. If possible it is preferable to use built-in speakers to avoid a tangle of cables and speakers spread around the room.
Bowers and Wilkins make a range of in-celling and in-wall speakers as well as the Bowers & Wilkins CWM362 In Wall Speakers. Dolby Atmos works by creating 3D “sound” objects that can be panned to anywhere in 3D space. For example, an aircraft passes overhead.
