Product Description
The Bluesound Node Icon Streamer is the flagship of the streamer range. It features a modern aluminum chassis with a large full-colour display. It is also a good unit for movie lovers with HDMI eARC and Dolby Digital built-in. Connection to amplifiers and active speakers is easy with the RCA outputs.
You can also stream from Spotify and TIDAL and the unit is HD audio capable. Notably, this is a dual mono design for the best possible audio quality. Balanced XLR outputs are provided as well as standard RCA. Lastly, there is an analogue audio input for legacy devices.
Dual mono DAC design
The dual mono DAC fitted to the Bluesound Node Icon Streamer is a premium feature. Two cutting-edge ESS SABRE ES9039Q2M chips are used. These provide sound with remarkable dynamic range and exceptional resolution. There is also ultra-low distortion. Moreover, MQA has provided QRONO d2a technology.
This improves DAC performance by correcting timing errors during playback. This gives the best accuracy with the original recording. Being dual mono, balanced outputs are provided to reduce noise on long cable runs.
Modern design
Modern design is a feature of the Bluesound Node Icon Streamer. The sleek case is made of aluminum and boasts a large 5” full-colour display. Moreover, audiophile-grade connectors are used and there is an analogue input. This input features a high-end ADC to convert the analogue source to digital. Lastly, DSD support is provided.
Stream from anywhere
The Bluesound Node Icon Streamer has very versatile streaming capability. Popular streaming services such as Spotify or Tidal can be used. Moreover, you can access local files in your collection. All can be controlled by using the BluOS app. There is also built-in Apple Airplay. Bluetooth connection is available using aptX. Additionally, you can connect the sound from your TV via HDMI.
Multiroom playback
Play music in any room with the Bluesound Node Icon Streamer. You can connect to other Bluesound devices wirelessly and share the same song or different songs in any room. Dual-band WIFI and Ethernet are fitted for dropout-free performance. Lastly, control is easy with the BluOS app. The app can be installed on any device.
Top-of-the-line headphone playback
THX AAA technology is fitted to the Bluesound Node Icon Streamer. This provides a very linear response as well as low noise and distortion. Feed-forward error correction is used for accurate sound and exceptional detail. Separate right and left channel outputs are provided for audiophile headphones.
Smart room correction
A problem with audio systems is the acoustics of the room. Furniture and walls can cause dips and peaks in the frequency response as well as resonances and distortion. As a result, Dirac Live is available as an upgrade to the Bluesound Node Icon Streamer. With the addition of a setup kit that includes a microphone, the room acoustics can be monitored. Sophisticated software then corrects the frequency response.
