Pro-Ject VC-E and VC-S2 record cleaning machines help maintain your records by providing premium cleaning abilities. These new models are successors to the previous VCS and VCS MkII cleaning machines that offered fantastic value, and proper vinyl record cleaning at a much lower price than their competitors at the time. These older models were good but the new VC-E and VC-S2 ALU models are fantastic, and feature an abundance of improvements for excellent cleaning results.

Super-Fast

Compared to other cleaning machines, Pro-Ject’s VC cleaners spin the records at a record 2 seconds per rotation, making them about 3 times faster. Your records are cleaned and dried in a handful of rotations, meaning more time to focus on the music.

What is the difference between the VC-E and VC-S2?

Both models are engineered for the same function, however the VC-S2 is a much larger model. These highly efficient cleaning machines protect the record label during cleaning with a plastic record clamp found on the VC-E and a mirrored aluminium clamp lined with a rubber pad on the VC-S2. One of the main differences between the models is that the VC-S2 ALU’s employs a much larger 2.5 litre tank compared to the VC-E’s 0.5 litre tank.

The VC-S2’s 2.5l tank has a superior motor with a long lifetime and almost never needs to be emptied thanks to the evaporating cleaning solution. Like the VC-S2, the VC-E is very powerful and cleans records in as little as one or two rotations, with the best results being when you use one rotation forward followed by one backwards.

What’s changed compared to the VCS and VCS MKII?

The new cleaning machines from Pro-Ject feature upgrades to their components and design to ensure more efficient cleaning of your records. The build quality has been sufficiently improved and even the plastic clamp on the VC-E looks and feels much stronger. Most noticeably is that the design has been completely revamped with new cabinet made from aluminium panels. This gives the record cleaning machines are far more elegant and contemporary look whilst still maintaining an industrial appeal.

Why is an aluminium chassis better? This high-quality material withstands spillage of cleaning fluids without potential damage to the chassis and offers exceptional durability and longevity. Another key difference is that the vent is now found at the top compared to their previous models where it is found on the side.Pro-Ject VC-E Compact Record Cleaning Machine
