Product Description
Audiolab 6000CDT is a dedicated CD transport incorporating the same slot-loading mechanism as Audiolab’s flagship CD player, the 8300CD. Extremely strong and reliable, a digital "read-ahead" buffer is employed to prevent failure of disc-reading. 6000CDT can play scratched and defective CDs that are unreadable by standard mechanics.
Free from Disc-Reading Failures
The 6000CDT uses slot loading mechanism first introduced within the standard Audiolab 8300CD range. The 6000CD Transport is enhanced with digital buffering methodology to rid the system of disc-reading failures. It can do this whilst reading different configurations of discs. The 6000CDT is solidly built and ensure discs can be carried, spun and browsed simultaneously without scratching.
Low Levels of Jitter
This fantastic CD driver employs an intrinsic digital clock that is controlled by a temperature remunerated crystal oscillator that ensures minimum jitter and interference in optical and coax outputs.
Energy Efficient Device
With an output electrical resistance of 75 ohms, the Audiolab 6000CDT maintains a healthy power transmission system. This CD transport device uses a 12V trigger output and automatic standby mode to avoid excessive heating and power consumption. It has a maximum power consumption of 20W and standby power consumption of less than 0.5W, making it a very energy efficient device.
Sleek Finish
The CD transport comes supplied with a remote control for operating the system from a distance. This attractive CD transport is available in two sleek finishes which enable elegant integration into your listening room of choice.

Bought mine on a recommendation from my brother to replace my £2000+ Meridian player which was always jamming or just basically unreliable - played through any reasonable DAC this player just works - touchwood I've never had a disc rejected and there is no discernible noise from the mechanism - brilliant value. -

Paired this with a Pro-Ject DAC Box S2 + , a Edwards Audio headphone amp and a pair of Beyer Dynamic DT 880 600 Ohm headphones. The 6000CDT was to replace an elderly NAD 525 BEE CD player, used as a CD Transport. With the above DAC.
The difference in sound quality is astounding. It has played even old CDs faultlessly.
I recommend it highly!
