Audio Technica AT-LP120X Turntable is the redesigned and upgraded model of the affordable AT-LP120 model. It is great for all user levels simplifying sampling and mixing, it's the ideal assistant to producers and music enthusiasts.
Improved usability
An adjusted price point means the new model is more cost effective, and has been refined with features that have improved the audio performance of the turntable, and assisted in digitising files.
AT-LP120X vs AT-LP120
An important feature to mention in the AT-LP120X is the direct-drive motor featured previously in LP120 model has now been upgraded to the new DC Servo Motor. This has improved playback speeds and made the model lighter. Converting records to digital files has been made easier via the new USB output. The integrated USB output means you can upload your records on to a computer to further revive and improve audio quality.
Improved Power Supply
Being able to connect digitally means the AT-P120X is suitable for producers as it allows sampling records from the turntable directly. The new model now features an external power supply instead of the internal power supply seen on the previous model. The external AC adapter has improved audio signal quality.
What cartridge does the AT-LP120X use?
Other noticeable improvements are the anti-skate mechanism and removal of tonearm height adjustment. The S-Shaped tonearm allows for enhanced audio performances for different records. Selective Phono preamplifier has cleaner results and less distortion than the LP120. The AT-LP120X cartridge has been upgraded with the AT-VM95E Cartridge - which belongs to the VM95 series meaning you can swap the stylus for any of this range.
Improved Aesthetics
The overall design has been streamlined and appears much sleeker. The model is available in silver and black with an attractive matte finish. Overall this is a more affordable, more refined model for any music enthusiast.
