The Audio Technica ATH-AWKG Headphones deliver a premium, high-end experience. They feature a beautiful Kurogaki wood housing. Moreover, the closed-back design and wooden housing deliver exceptional sound quality. The ergonomic earpads are stitched and made of durable sheepskin.
Additionally, magnesium alloy is used for lightweight and a long life. The headphones undergo extensive listening tests to fine-tune the sound. The frequency response is 5Hz to 45kHz and the headphones come in an exclusive custom-designed display box.
Premium wooden earcups
The wooden earcups of the Audio Technica ATH-AWKG Headphones are hand-crafted in Japan. Kurogaki wood has excellent audio properties and a beautiful look. It is also a very dense wood with low resonance. Moreover, the wood has ink-like patterns that give it a marbled look. Lastly, a fine lacquered finish is applied.
Permendur magnetic circuitry drivers
The 53mm drivers of the Audio Technica ATH-AWKG Headphones feature Permendur magnetic circuitry. This provides expansive and accurate sound. Moreover, an aircraft-grade titanium flange is used along with a 6N-OFC voice coil. This is wound with Oxygen Free Copper. The result is a more accurate bass response. Audio-Technica's air-damping system also boosts the bass response.
Magnesium alloy arms
Magnesium alloy arms are used by the Audio Technica ATH-AWKG Headphones. This is a lightweight and very rigid metal. As a result, the arms hold the earcups at the perfect angle for a comfortable fit. Comfort is also enhanced by the sheepskin earpads and headband. Moreover, this boxed unit comes with an additional set of ZMF Universe Hybrid earpads.
Versatile connectivity with A2DC
The Audio Technica ATH-AWKG Headphones are fitted with A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) jacks. This gold-plated connector was developed by Audio Technica to deliver a secure audio link. It also reduces rotation. The connector allows for changing the type of cable.
Two high-grade cables are provided with the unit. One with a standard 6.3mm plug and one with a balanced 4-pin XLR connector for high-end headphone amplifiers. Balanced connections give improved noise performance and enhanced channel separation. Both leads are 3 metres long.
