Product Description
Audio Pro D-2 is a multi-room speaker designed to deliver excellent sound quality and is the same cab speaker featured in the Drumfire MkII system. It features two 1” fabric tweeters and two 4.5” long throw woofers. The class D amplifier provides 20watts of power per channel for punchy sound and is available in a choice of stylish colours.
Multi-Room Audio
You can also enjoy multi-room audio with the D-2 and other Audio Pro speakers in other rooms to stream a different source to each speaker via the Audio Pro App. It is also setup for multi-person usage. Presets are provided for your favourite radio station or playlist. For example, the app will let you stream Spotify to one speaker while another speaker in another room is streaming a radio station. You can also feed the same song to all the speakers at the same time.
Additionally, the D2 can be used to enhance the sound from your TV, as it is wireless it can be placed anywhere in the room. Gradually you can add speakers to other rooms.
Great connectivity
The Audio Pro D2 has excellent connectivity for both analogue and streamed sources. There is an RCA input to connect external sources such as a turntable with a phono preamp, as well as a subwoofer output. There is an Audio Pro control app for PC as well as apps for IOS and Android. Additionally smart-home apps such as Apple home and Google home can be used to control the speaker. You can also connect to your multi-room speaker with Bluetooth.
Powerful amplifier and drivers.
The digital class D amplifier of the D2 provides 20w per channel and drives two 1” fabric tweeters along with two long throw 4.5” woofers. Class D amplifiers use digital processing to recreate the audio signal using a train of pulses, right up to the speaker, without any analogue transistors being used. A low pass filter recovers the audio. Class D amplifiers are popular due to their high efficiency and low heat generation. Finally, the cabinet is available in black grey or white, to match any décor.
Google (Chromecast) and Spotify Connect
Nowadays there are many ways to control your smart devices. Google Chromecast uses the Chrome browser to stream to multiple speakers via Wi-Fi. Use the device tab in the browser to create a speaker group. With Spotify connect you can use your smartphone to select which device will play the selected music. The D2 also supports the Tidal lossless streaming service.
As multi room speakers connect to a local network you also need a decent internet connection. The Audio pro D2 uses free online software updates as well as connecting to your Wi-Fi router for content. You also need a reasonable internet connection speed to access high resolution audio files and music services. A good wireless router will give the best performance overall.
