Product Description
The Atacama Evoque Eco 24-16 SE2 Reference Series Hi-Fi stands are premium stands from Atacama. The shelf size is 600mm x 400mm. There are also three different shelf heights. Notably, the standard Evoque and Evoque Eco special edition has been upgraded with an advanced deflection channel design and a leg design with more isolation. Moreover, the reference stands have stainless steel mechanically tuned spikes. The spikes are designed to better isolate each shelf unit from the one below. The weight-bearing capacity is also more than 50% higher than previous versions. A well-designed stand will present your audio equipment in the best possible way. It will also isolate the components from each other.
A.S.I.S.T leg dampening gaskets
The shelf units supplied with the Atacama Evoque Eco 14-16 SE2 Reference Series Hi-Fi stands, sit on specially designed legs. The legs contain Atacama Sonic Isolation System Technology (A.S.I.S.T). This involves placing two dampening gaskets in each leg. These are designed to isolate the aluminium components from the outer leg collar. In this way “ringing” is minimized. Additionally, the top and lower caps are connected with internal studs. These improve the connection in the legs and dissipate any resonances to the ground. Finally, the resonant frequency of each shelf unit has been lowered, making the legs slightly shorter.
Leg Tuning Counterweights and A.V.R.D.C Advanced Vectored Resonance Deflection Channels
The flagship Atacama Evoque Eco 14-16 SE2 Reference Series Hi-Fi stands have additional resonance tuning capability. This is achieved by including an adjustable nickel-plated bronze frustum counterweight. The weight is used to “tune out” the resonance of the component that is on the shelf. Another more advanced feature is the design of the A.V.R.D.C Advanced Vectored Resonance Deflection Channels. The cut pattern now forms a three-dimensional curved geometry. The pattern is cut into the underside of each shelf and is designed to direct mechanical vibration to the legs.
Advanced stainless steel Isolation Coned Spikes
The Atacama Evoque Eco, 14-16 SE2 Reference Series Hi-Fi stands, have upgraded stainless steel leg spikes. They are larger in diameter and longer. As a result, the energy transfer has been maximized. Each shelf dissipates energy to the one under it. The durable design has been mathematically calculated to give the best results.
Side edge contoured bamboo shelf panels
Additionally, the Atacama Evoque Eco 14-16 SE2 Reference Series Hi-Fi stands feature a new shelf design. The shelves now have a curved edge that helps to break up standing waves. The curves deflect any vibration to the A.V.R.D.C channels increasing their dissipation capability. If standing waves hit a straight edge then tend to reinforce each other. However, a curved edge will change the phase reducing any resonance.
Why use a Hi-Fi stand?
A Hi-Fi stand will display your valuable audio equipment to its best advantage. However, the Atacama Evoque Eco 65-60 SE2 Reference Series stands are also designed to enhance the sound. Firstly, isolation between components is improved. Mutual interference can be caused by vibration from one unit getting into the one placed on top of or under it. The Atacama stands have several features, such as the dissipation channels and leg design. The design blocks any vibration. Moreover, the thick shelves also move amplifiers away from more sensitive devices, such as turntables. Finally, open stands are better than enclosed cabinets, when it comes to ventilation. Overheating can damage power supplies and shorten the life of audio equipment.
