Acoustic Energy AE300 is an innovative compact stand-mount loudspeaker suitable for small to mid-sized rooms. Following on from the AE100 which has collected many esteemed awards, it offers a substantial step up in audio quality, materials and cabinet appearance.

Construction

Tracing its lineage back to the original AE1, the AE300 uses the latest generation 130mm mid-bass drive unit. Featuring a novel ceramic aluminium layered cone with a very shallow profile, incredible high force and wide-projection motor system, this new driver augments dispersion while stretching bass slam and total power handling.

Waveguide

A fresh 28mm aluminium tweeter has been built for the 300 Series which offers high power handling and a low fundamental resonance to lower distortion. However, the main benefit of this new design is the excellent dispersion characteristics thanks to WDT (Wide Dispersion Technology) waveguides. The waveguides structure the acoustic output of the tweeter to counter the woofer and deliver a broader sweet-spot in your listening space.

Bass Performance

The rigid 18mm high-density MDF cabinet employs patented bracing technology taken from the award-winning Reference Series, to lower cabinet colouration and enable the new transducers to breathe openly within the listening room. The slot-shaped duct port on the rear of the speaker boosts the bass output and is rigorously produced to prevent the effect of air turbulence with clean and accurate bass performance.

Sleek, uncluttered lines offer the thrilling and dynamic presentation that Acoustic Energy has become renowned for over three decades. Supplied in piano gloss black or white or satin walnut wood veneer finishes, the AE300 will seamlessly integrate with any home décor when positioned on speaker stands or bookshelves.
