Product Description

Yamaha NS-SW300 subwoofer is the perfect combination of sound quality and aesthetic design. The NS-SW200 subwoofer is full of new technology, for instance the bass port is a twisted design for consistent tight bass. Yamaha NS-SW300 is a subwoofer that will match a wide range of speakers and interiors.

Twisted Flare Port

The Twisted Flare Port is a new design that has been developed from Yamaha's extensive subwoofer development experience. The shape of the port is flared, with a gentle twisted shape which diffuses the air at the edge of the port that tends to become a vortex of air and negatively affect sound quality> BY diffusing the air vortex at the port edge results in the air flowing smoother with more efficiency. Having the flared port design, reduces any extraneous sounds not present in the original input signal, consequently the low frequency sound output is clear and accurate. From cinematic explosive effects, to the lively atmosphere of a rock concert, you will hear a clear, tight and realistic bass.

PWM Digital Drive

The NS-SW300 is active having a powerful built-in amplifier, delivering 130 Watts of power with high efficiency, minimising power usage and heat. The subwoofer does not require an output filter coil, results in extremely low noise and sound distortion. The circuitry is dual feedback design, reducing distortion by doubly applying feedback, which results in extreme sound output clarity.

Advanced YST II

The NS-SW300 fully utilises Advanced YST II (Yamaha Active Servo Technology II) that works by coupling negative-impedance and constant-current conventions to drive the speaker with precision and control. The other technology that Yamaha have employed here, is Advanced Negative Impedance Converter (ANIC) circuits, which optimise speaker impedance to preserve the linearity. Therefore, the sub is stable and accurate in the low frequency range, with amazing sound quality.

25cm Cone Woofer

The subwoofer uses a large woofer (25cm) in a front-firing configuration. The drivers voice coil is made from square wire, which because of its wide surface area and the fact that it can be wound very densely, means higher magnetic flux density. The driver has a high drive force, which facilitates deep and tight bass reproduction. With the wonderful rounded shape of the front surface, paired with side panels, it results in an accented, neat appearance. Therefore, the visual aesthetic of this subwoofer allows you imagine the strength of sound it produces, and plus it matches very well with a large selection of speaker systems. With many four colour variations to choose from, their is sure to be a finish that will match to your style.

Easy Operation

With a subwoofer the volume control and power button are the most used, so Yamaha have positioned them on the front of the sub, to allow you the user easy access. Plus, the front panel is inclined at 45°, which facilitates accessing the controls even when the subwoofer is placed on the floor. Also, the LED light is above the power button, so even low light conditions it is obvious if the subwoofer is switched on or off.

System Control and Auto Standby

Their is also a system control terminal that allows the subwoofer to be linked to an amplifier, and consequently the subwoofer will automatically power up with the amp. To save energy when not in use the NS-SW300 features Auto Standby Functionality, so if the subwoofer does not receive a signal for specific duration then it will power down and automatically go into standby mode. Conversely, when an input signal is detected, powers up automatically.
