Product Description
An Audio Affair Exclusive available in this premium finish, the Diamond 10.1 bookshelf speakers offer exceptional detail and impressive dynamics complete with stylish rosewood cabinets for a performance expected of a far more expensive speaker. At 25% of the RRP, these speakers are now exclusive to Audio Affair in the UK.
Diamond Series
Following thirty years of reign, the Diamond range does not need an introduction. It has earned countless global awards and shifted over one million sets internationally. Based on the massively successful 9.1 speakers, the Wharfedale 10.1 incorporates a cabinet that has been fully restructured and curved edges which are reinforced with better internal support. The cabinet walls are prevented from flexing or bending during operation so the output is pure and unadulterated.
Construction
The Wharfedale 10.1s also benefit from improved individual drivers. A redesigned tweeter produces cleaner and smoother high frequencies thanks to the extra diffuser grille while the mid-bass driver gives natural sound at all volumes.
This version of the Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 speakers features a Rosewood body with a glossy piano black facia. Magnetic ports for the grille eliminates unsightly peg holes upon its removal.
High Quality
The attention to detail runs down to the premium gold plated contact points, bridging strips and the offset angles of the bi-wireable terminals giving your speaker cable or plugs the best possible connection. On top of this, Wharfedale ensures the speakers demonstrate the greatest and most clear acoustic experience for your money.
Press Reviews
-
'FOR: Transparent, honest sound; decent build; good detail and control' (What Hi-Fi Magazine)
-
'On the whole, the 10.1s are versatile enough to do justice to a wide variety of music, and they're relatively unfussy about positioning, too.' (What Hi-Fi Magazine)
-
'Every aspect of their delivery is controlled, but not to the point where music feels held back. The leading edges of notes are presented confidently and with precision.' (What Hi-Fi Magazine)
-
'Diamond 10.1 had a relaxed, coherent overall sound, with a wide, deep soundstage, airy highs, a liquid midrange, and excellent low-level resolution. Compared to the PSB Alpha B1, the Wharfedale lacked transient speed but offered greater clarity and resolution... The Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 remains my favourite affordable stand-mounted loudspeaker, for the price, I'm not sure you can do better.' Stereophile (Vol 34 Nos.2/4/10; Vol 6 No.10)
