The Wadia DI122 is a new hi-end DAC which can handle streams of up to 24bit/384kHz and support DSD 5.6 through its USB input. The new Wadia also has four SPDIF inputs - optical and coax - that support 24bit/192kHz signals.
This compact little DAC features both balanced and single-ended analogue outputs, as well as a cleverly included volume control. This means it can be used as a digital preamp in the right set-up, making it a very versatile piece of kit. Attention has been paid to the headphone circuitry too, as the unit's compact size means it would lend itself nicely to a headphone-based set-up.
This DAC is the natural partner for Wadia's A102 which features the same balanced connections.
