Revolution XT 6F has a crossover that uses low loss laminated core inductors and audiophile components throughout and further benefits from high purity oxygen free copper (OFC), silver plated wiring.
Its 150mm (6.00”) Omnimagnet Dual Concentric driver is augmented with a matching 150mm (6.00”) bass driver to deliver LF extension down to below 40Hz. Both the Omnimagnet Dual, with its 25mm Linear PEI dome HF unit and Torus-Ogive waveguide, and the auxiliary driver feature a multi-fibre cone with rubber surround and a 44mm edge wound voice coil to ensure seamless bass performance.
31.1 Litre Cabinet
The 31.1 litre Revolution XT 6F cabinet utilises the most compact iteration of Tannoy new twin-cavity coupled reflex system, featuring separate cavities coupled internally by tuned ports. Bass energy exits from a down-firing port between the angled base of the cabinet and the integrated plinth.
The precisely engineered angle of the ‘waveguide’ formed between cabinet and plinth encourages LF energy to disperse forward into the room, making closer-to-wall placement of the speaker than is typically possible without major detrimental effect on sound quality. The result is tight and articular bass with exceptional power and extension whatever you room layout or loudspeaker placement requirements.
For a more subtle aesthetic, magnetic grille mounts are installed below the veneer to ensure a smooth and uncluttered appearance on the front baffle and easy fitment of the supplied grille. Revolution XT 6F is Tannoy’s most affordable Dual Concentric floor standing loudspeaker, yet offers the unrivalled performance and outstanding finish that Tannoy owners have come to expect.
Each Revolution XT 6F cabinet is offered in Medium Oak or Dark Walnut real wood veneer, hand finished to the same exacting standards expected of bespoke cabinetry. The Omnimagnet driver is finished with an etched trim ring and driver bolts that contrast the black driver chassis.
