Since starting their journey in 1977, Meridian's contribution to the world of audio has been more considerable than some may realise. Today, the Huntingdon based company produces DSP active hi-fi speakers and audio systems represent the pinnacle of home audio. It also hosts some of the world's most powerful audio enhancements and is fully compatible with Meridian’s Digital Media System.

Meridian even developed the lossless compression algorithm (MLP) that is used in DVD audio.
