The Roksan Darius S1 was designed to be their most advanced and best-sounding speaker ever designed. The result is a truly incredible speaker, with impeccable design and build quality coupled with premium materials and components.
The Darius S1 delivers deep, tight bass and pairs this with an immensely rich and open soundstage. Few other medium-sized bookshelf speakers can offer such presence and sound staging. The Darius S1 excel in clarity and detail thanks to the ribbon tweeter, something typically reserved for truly high-end reference speakers!
Roksan have used a 5.5" custom long-throw bass-mid river, as well as a high quality folded ribbon tweeter. The sound is large, smooth and open with impressive imaging and detail. The cabinet design incorporates modern and stylish aesthetics with rigorous design criteria to deliver a taut yet deep bass response.
Without doubt, we feel that the Darius S1 is the best performing and most involving, exciting loudspeaker Roksan has ever produced. And we are convinced you’ll agree!
- 'The Darius S1 are excellent performers and one of the most enjoyable standmounters we’ve heard in years' (What Hi-Fi Magazine November 2014)
- 'It pays to take a bit of time getting the toe-in and the distance between the channels just so. Get it right and these standmounters produce a lovely, well-focussed sound stage that extends well beyond the physical placement of the cabinets. The imaging is wide, deep and beautifully layered with impressive precision.' (What Hi-Fi Magazine November 2014)
- 'While they reveal plenty of detail, it’s the way they organise it that impresses us most. These speakers are rhythmical and dynamic, and yet have finesse when the music demands too.' (What Hi-Fi Magazine November 2014)
- 'While Roksan has always made speakers, they have never grabbed the limelight in the way the company’s amplifiers, CD players and even turntables have. These new Darius S1 are good enough to change that perception.' (What Hi-Fi Magazine November 2014)
