Q Acoustics 3090Ci Centre Speaker

Q Acoustics 3090Ci Centre Speaker features dual 100mm woofers coupled to a 22mm precision tweeter, perfect on a shelf or cabinet thanks to its pre-fitted rubber feet. Using the optional dedicated brackets which are available separately, the 3090Ci can also be wall mounted for a neater, space saving set up.

Crisp Vocals

The Centre Speaker forms the core of any home theatre set-up and is configured to present a clean, crisp, clear and balanced dialogue. The 3090Ci is the same width as most Amplifiers and AV Receivers so will fit seemlessly into your Hi-Fi furniture. The convential terminal panels have been removed, giving an improvement to the structural integrity to the cabinets. The binding posts are low profile with deep sockets, that can accept 4mm Banana Plugs.

Drivers

The tweeters are physically decoupled from the baffle via a compliant suspension system. Therefore, vibrations from the woofer, which are known to negatively effect tweeter performance, are isolated which ensures the tweeter performs without interference. The tweeter (100mm) is a paper coated precision formed cone which is paired with a newly developed, low-hysteresis rubber surround that provides an optimum balance between stiffness and self-damping, which means the drivers can accelerate without flex and stop at speed without unwanted resonances.

Technology

Every detail from the cabinet enclosure to the driver, to the pioneering ‘Concept’ technology has been carefully commissioned for this range. By utilising an advanced cabinet construction ensures the subtle acoustic clues for a three-dimensional soundstage are preserved for the listener. Furthermore the internal component have been carefully chose to match and coupled with thorough listening tests result in an accurate loudspeaker that preserves the sense of intimacy of a musical performance.

P2P Bracing

To continually present an accurate sound image and to preserve the sound stage Q Acoustics have employed Point to Point (P2P) bracing across the 3000i range supports the enclosure of the speakers making them exceptionally rigid. The cone is paper coated and precision formed with a newly developed, low-hysteresis rubber surround.

By using P2P bracing with the enclosures ensures the perfect balance between stability and self-damping, so the drivers accelerate without flexing and can stop very accurately. Furthermore, the P2P bracing has been introduced to help keep the enclosure extra quiet by equalising the air pressure within the cabinet.  The HF (22mm) driver has a micro-fibre soft dome with a wide surround which helps to create a wide, even dispersion of stereo.

Beautiful Build

The 3090Ci, like the other speakers in the series, are available in many finishes, such as Graphite Grey, English Walnut, Carbon Black or Arctic White. Also the drivers are completed with an attractive chrome-finish bezel surround.  The speaker grilles are removable and use magnets to hold them in place, so you can choose the look you prefer. These speakers provide a top quality soundstage for films or music with a pure transparent sound sure to please even the most discerning audiophile.
