Product Description

Pioneer UDP-LX800 Signature 4K BluRay Player is an Audiocom-upgraded version of Pioneer’s new flagship universal UHD player which was designed over the years through the development of successive optical disc players for the audiophile and demanding home cinema enthusiast.

It features extremely rigid construction, high S/N ratio, support for latest Ultra HD Blu-ray format (4x the res of 1080p Full HD), dual ESS SABRE PRO Series DACs, SDR/HDR Preset Mode, Direct/Transport function and XLR balanced output.

Three-Part Chassis

The blocks for power supply, drive/digital handling, and analogue audio are separated into three sectors to eliminate electrical and magnetic interference between the blocks. The rigid beams placed between the blocks additionally reinforce the structure, whereas the interior layout is optimally designed to minimise vibration and signal loss.

Ventless Steel Panels

Even the holes for warmth radiation are excluded to achieve a flat type with best circuit style, to minimise the mechanical motion sound from the BD drive. This results in considerably low noise and additional rigidity and stable chassis structure.

Rigid Under Base

The 1.6mm-thick chassis base is bolstered with a 3mm-thick plate rigid below base. This Double-Layered Chassis structure provides a minimal centre-of-gravity and overall rigidity that forestalls the transfer of external vibration to the inner chassis, and offers a greater reading of the disc.

Large-Capacity Power

The discrete large-capacity power transformer for the analogue audio circuitry and also the custom capacitor represent the superior power circuitry capable of instant power supply. The unessential electromagnetic wave generated by the transformer is confined inside the copper-plated shield with anti-vibration paint.

The f-hole-shaped embossing helps to suppress standing-waves achieving sound quality with either dynamic or silent options. The current supply circuitry hosts a case with a bass clef imprint for suppressing standing waves and black anti-vibration paint, permitting stable and high-quality power source to the drive and digital blocks.

Ultra HD Blu-ray Playback

As a universal disc player, the UDP-LX800 will play numerous optical discs such as the most recent UHD Blu-ray disc format that has fourfold the resolution of 1080p Full HD, in addition to Hi-Res Audio and different audio files and video files.

6-Layered Circuit Board

A 6-layered IVH is employed for the core circuit board to completely eliminate digital noise. This optimises the digital signal wiring and minimises GND electrical resistance, and dramatically improves Signal to noise ratio in audio/video signal handling. The top 18Gbps transmission via the newest HDMI convention becomes even more accurate.

Audio Circuitry for Quality

The technologies for Pioneer’s SACD player PD-70AE are incorporated to drastically improve analogue audio block. The routes for L and R signals are created identical such as the pattern and components layout. The signal balance is strictly maintained, leading to more precise and superior separation throughout playback. The bus bar between L and R signals additionally help to stabilise the base.

SDR/HDR Preset Mode

Alongside the video parameter “Reference” for master quality, you are able to choose “LCD TV,” “OLED TV,” or “Projector” for the video quality best suited to your set up. In addition, there are SDR/HDR presets for each video parameter, that mechanically switch between SDR and HDR preset in line with the signal.

On-Screen Display

You can show the disc data on screen by pressing and holding the remote control’s display button. On top of gaining disc details, you are able to simply check mastering data like MaxFALL (Maximum Frame Average Light Level) and MaxCLL (Maximum Content Light Level) accessible on some HDR content, in addition to HDMI output data.

Transport for Pure Digital

The transport function fully turns off the analogue audio circuitry from power source to output, by cutting the power source to the transformer throughout HDMI connection. The HDMI’s signal to noise ratio additionally improves and achieves top quality audio and video playback.
