Product Description

Ortofon Synergy A brings the classic SPU design into the present, with a number of changes specifically designed for improving compatibility and audio clarity. The Synergy A has similar performance as the Synergy GM model, but in a short-shell format. The Synergy A is therefore ideal for use with tonearms which require a cartridge with a shorter overhang.

The SPU Synergy is housed in a wood based casing, with a revised generator system, giving a max output of 500µV, meaning there is less need for a high gain transformer or active preamplifier systems. The Synergy utilises a Nude Elliptical profile which is greatly polished, with the stylus tip mass reduced, resulting in reduced VTF and advanced tracking ability.

SPU style cartridges are designed to fit onto old style tonearms which accept these type of cartridges and are not designed for use on most modern tonearms and turntables. If you are in any doubt if this cartridge is for your turntable, please contact us, before ordering, for expert advice.
