Product Description

Onkyo TX-8020 stereo receiver is a great choice for excellent two channel performances on a limited budget. It’s versatile enough to power audio from your TV, Blu-ray player, PC and CD player via digital or analogue inputs.

WRAT Technology

WRAT (Wide Range Amp Technology) conserves natural acoustic faithfulness over an extremely wide frequency range. It comprises low-minus-feedback amp circuitry for pure, realistic sound; sealed ground-loop circuits to decrease distortion; and vast rapid current ability to defy impedance instabilities from the speakers and abrupt dynamic advances in songs and film soundtracks.

Capable of driving compact bookshelf or floorstanders, Onkyo’s WRAT delivers ample unadulterated analogue power with an isolated output phase circuitry and a large current, minimal impedance drive unit easily treating the most challenging loads.

The Onkyo Sound

The sound characteristic exceeds that of a veteran hi-fi kind, with energetic dynamics, a saccharine and lifelike mid-range, and precise timing for all types of music. Similar to the older receivers in its lineage, the TX-8020 has controls for both the bass, treble as well as the balance and speaker A to B posts which allow for multi-room systems. Link your media players and TV to get the life-sized, spacious routine a soundbar couldn’t possibly match.

Discrete Quality Design

Distinct from cheap IC boards amplifiers, Onkyo’s isolated amplifiers combine hand-chosen audio-grade components in their design. TX-8020 has entirely detached output stage motherboard with durable transistors to regulate operating temperatures, lessen distortion, and extend the product life.

High-Current Drive

While your loudspeakers may be appraised at 4, 6, or 8 Ω, steady operation sees that resistance surge and plummet for small intervals. This can put up to 10 times the normal load on your amp, and if the demand is unmet, audio quality will deteriorate perceptibly. Onkyo’s low-impedance high-current design features a huge EI transformer to energise your speakers precisely always, even beneath hefty loads.

Bass, Treble and Balance

Bass, treble, and balance controls are helpful in maximising the tonal features of your source (mainly in imperfect recordings), besides letting you correct the audibility of your listening area and the frequency reply of your speakers. These smartly crafted circuits, missed in some rivals receivers in this price bracket, allow you to tweak the sound to your own sense of taste, with no loss in apparent audio class.

Wide Audio Selection

TX-8020 is popularly used as the core of a dominant home theatre system. To most suitably equip it for this part, it includes various inputs and outputs to attach your TV, BD/CD player, an AirPlay dock for iPod/iPhone/iPad (such as the DS-A5 which is sold separately), and even a PC. On top of all this, there’s even an MM phono stage for turntable to rediscover your prised vinyl collection.

FM/AM Tuner

Like it’s predecessor that initially awarded Onkyo a huge fan base, TX-8020 comprises an FM/AM tuner packed with RDS station data in zones that back these broadcasts. Switching channels is no longer a tedious ordeal. Simply scan once and store up to 40 stations into the fixed memory, with 8-digit naming ability for each.

A/B Speaker Terminals

TX-8020 contains twin banana-plug speaker ports permitting the connectivity of two pairs of speakers in a multizone sound system. The receiver is intended to drive either a lone pair of speakers rated at 4–16Ω, or double 8–16Ω speakers, enabling you to experience the same music in multiple rooms in unison.

Remote Interactive

An individual cable RI scheme allows restricted governing of an RI-ready module, like an Onkyo CD player or the optional DS-A5 dock via the TX-8020 remote. This simplifies the method of prompting music and video. Link the DS-A5 and the receiver will mechanically power up, pick the proper input, and begin playback upon pressing the AirPlay icon on your smartphone or iTunes-armed computer.
