Naim Muso is the first all-in-one wireless music system from the renowned Naim Audio and transforms your music experience bringing you closer to the songs that inspire your life.
Naim Muso has been painstakingly designed ground up, calling on Naim's decades of expertise in streaming, amplification and loudspeaker technology. The Muso has been designed with sound quality and functionality in mind. Featuring Internet Radio, AirPlay, aptX Bluetooth and UpnP technology, it is able to interface with a wide range of wireless devices, and make listening to your music with glorious sound quality a whole lot easier.
The Muso utilises six 75W digital amplifiers, which power six custom designed Naim drivers. Two midrange drivers, two tweeters and two 'racetrack' bass drivers deliver an immersive and rich full-range of sound. Muso also uses DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology, which has been developed from Naim's automotive speaker systems.
Design and build quality are, as you would expect from Naim, superb. An aluminium-coated MDF casework adds a real premium design, while a large circular aluminium volume control on top of the unit also includes touch sensitive buttons which allow for total control of the unit. Muso also allows for USB and 3.5mm inputs, as well as optical digital and ethernet. Supplied with Black grille as standard. To utilise the interchangable coloured grilles, add the Naim Mu-so Replacement Speaker Grille to your order.
- 'It isn't just 'sound' that it makes, but a convincingly musical performance that has an integrity and a rightness that you just don't expect from a single box such as this' Hi-Fi Choice Magazine
'We’ll admit we’re utterly taken with the Mu-so’s looks. It’s a gorgeous design...a discreet LED at the side aids network set-up. The highlight, however, is that volume dial. Made of a solid ring of bead-blasted anodised aluminium, the circular, illuminated control is inspired by the flagship Naim Statement pre/power amplifier...we’ll wager you’ll spend more time physically changing the volume rather than using the remote or control app – the dial is a dream to use...it’s weighted just right, moving smoothly as you turn it all the way up to 11. We like the illumination effect, too' (What Hi-Fi? magazine)
'Does the Mu-so sound any good? In short, yes. Any ‘style over substance’ comments can be thrown out of the window...the power behind the Mu-so’s sound is astonishing. It drives all songs with a sure-footed sense of rhythm, rich detail and lashings of deep, rumbling bass we’ve never heard from a wireless speaker before...high notes are crisp, open and have just the right amount of bite. There aren’t any undue sharp edges to the Mu-so’s sound, and taut basslines are controlled and full of texture' (What Hi-Fi? magazine)
'The Naim Mu-so is a seriously attractive product. Everything promised is delivered...this wireless speaker’s performance lives up to the spec-sheet hype – it looks stunning, and that powerful and subtle sound is as close as we’ve heard to hi-fi from an all-in-one unit such as this...it’s more than worthy of a front-and-centre position in your listening room' (What Hi-Fi? magazine)
'Rich, powerful sound, huge sense of scale and soaring dynamics, hinish and design, excellent features list, intuitive operation...a hugely desirable wireless speaker with hi-fi aspirations, the Mu-so is stunning' (What Hi-Fi? magazine)
'Best wireless speaker £800+' (What Hi-Fi Magazine 2016)
20 Feb 2015As a long time Naim customer, I wasnt sure what to think when this was came out and didnt have any intention of going anywhere to listen to one. However, a call from Audio Affair to check how I was getting on with a recent purchase persuaded me to come in to see this and their other Naim stocks. I had a listen as a curiosity but I was pleasantly surprised by both the finish and the capabilities of this unit. Firstly, its much bigger than I was expecting, a full arms length wide, and the control knob is somewhat confusing at first, but once I understood how it worked and paired my iPhone to the bluetooth, I tried some HD tracks. The sound of this unit is remarkable given its size. Its obviously no separates system, but its the best of its kind Ive ever heard and a perfect second music system to accompany a dinner party or for having music in another room where there isn't space for a full separates system. I daresay it may even give a 'lesser' separates system at a similar price, a run for its money. Harvey.
