Linn Majik LP12 is a pre-configured LP12 package combining a performance set-up with Linn Adikt phono cartridge and 9cc tonearm (with the option of Akito tonearm), making it unbeatable value.
The Linn LP12 was Linn's debut product and remains as one of the most popular turntables in the world. Released in 1972, it revolutionised the hi-fi industry and remains the benchmark by which all turntables are judged today.
In contrast to the Linn LP12 Sondek which is supplied as turntable only (without cartridge or tonearm, allowing you to fit your own), this Majik LP12 package includes everything you need to get started - and we can set everything up prior to you collecting the turntable.
The Linn Majik LP12 turntable package with its unique heritage will appeal to anyone who is passionate about music and especially to those who have relished the vinyl renaissance.
This package includes:
- LP12 Cirkused turntable chasis
- Internal ‘MAJIK LP12 Power Supply’
- Solid base
- ADIKT MM cartridge
- Pro-Ject 9cc tonearm (you also have the option of Akito tonearm)
This package delivers unrivalled musical reproduction to get the most from your cherished vinyl collection.
Although this is a complete package for ease of purchase, it is fully compatible with all LP12 components to give you a range of future upgrade paths. If you're building a vinyl system from scratch, the Majik LP12 also integrates with other Majik components, for example with the Majik-I integrated amplifier and Majik speakers. An LP12 lid lid can also be ordered separately for the product.
High quality finish
The Majik LP12 is available in a choice of high-quality real wood veneer finishes. Linn's standard finishes are Black Ash, American Cherry, Maple, Rosenut or Walnut. Linn are also able to offer a custom wood finish service if you want a truly bespoke finish (please contact us for pricing).
Rich LP12 heritage
Introduced in 1972, the Sondek LP12 was Linn’s first product and helped demonstrate that the most important element in any quality music system is the source of the music itself. Launched at a time when amplifiers and loudspeakers were seen as being most critical to the performance of any system, the Sondek LP12 showed that extracting more information from the record itself was the most critical challenge. Quite simply, information lost at the source is lost forever.
Since its introduction over 30 years ago the LP12 has been the turntable by which all others are judged and each component has been continuously improved to extract even more information from a vinyl record. At the heart of the LP12 is Linn’s patented, low-noise, single-point bearing. This advanced yet simple bearing design ensures the smooth motion of the turntable and eliminates noise to ensure that all you hear is the music.
The high mass, perfectly balanced, belt-driven platter maintains speed stability, while the solid wood plinth, suspended sub-chassis and stable arm platform combine to provide freedom from vibration and acoustic feedback. The combination of these precision-engineered components creates a turntable with an unequalled ability to provide pitch accurate, faithful reproduction of your cherished vinyl collection.
'The Majik LP12 package is great value and brings LP12 ownership to a wider audience without any major compromise. For: As musically enjoyable as any deck at this price level, fabulous build and finish upgrade potential' (What Hi-Fi Magazine February 2009)
'There's plenty of authority on tap, but perhaps most impressive is the deck's composure: it's unstressed, even when facing something as complex as Carmina Burana. That's something only a few of Linn's rivals manage.' (What Hi-Fi Magazine February 2009)
'No product stays in production for well over 30 years without being that little bit special. The LP12 is special and the Majik package is a great way of buying into its legend.' (What Hi-Fi Magazine February 2009)
