The NAD T585 universal disc player plays DVD, SACD, CD and MP3/WMA files stored on a CDR, with superb picture and sound quality, now available at a massive discount for a limited time only. The T585 also incorporates HDMI output with HDCP encryption, allowing high definition audio and video signals to be transferred between source components, processors, and video displays in a pure digital format.

When using HDMI output, you can also take advantage of the "Faroujda DCDi chip" that upconverts standard (480 lines) to the High Definition formats of 720p or 1080i. However, unlike many “universal” DVD players, the T585 does not convert the SACD’s SD format into CD’s PCM format—which defeats the sonic advantage. Instead it keeps separate DSD signal paths to maintain the highest level possible of DVD, CD and SACD audio quality.

All in all, the T585 is an excellent choice for listening to music from SACD, CD or MP3/WMA files on a CDR or for watching DVD movies with stunning image quality, or you can use it to enjoy both!
