Presenting one of the most advanced cutting edge designs, the Audio Technica AT150Sa MM phono cartridge features a MicroLine stylus with a shaped diamond tip closely resembling the cutter stylus.
Lower Wear & Distortion
The structure optimises high frequency response with less wear and distortion than earlier configurations. A tiny, gold-plated boron cantilever provides a durable and lightweight mounting platform while the gold plating dampens any little resonance the boron may produce.
A Vector-aligned phono cartridge, the 150Sa features two magnetic generators precisely arranged in a 'V' formation to match the positions of the right and left channels in the stereo record groove. The result is superb channel separation, extremely low distortion and impressive tracking performance.
Audio Technical's patented paratoroidal signal generator uses technologically advanced pure copper material. Combined with the laminated core structure for minimal high frequency loss, the integrated generator acheives greater efficiency than traditional cartridges.
Performance of the paratoroidal coil design is perfected via the PCOCC wire, created using a special high-temperature extrusion die to produce copper with virtually no transverse crystal barriers that may impede signal transmission or colour sound.
Meticulously engineered down to the PCCOC copper output terminals, the coils of the Audio-Technica AT150Sa transmit distortion-free sound reproducing the most subtle details with clarity and purity.
Between the right and left channels in the generator system is a mu-metal shielding plate preserving the high level of channel separation at the cartridge output. On top of all this, an anti-resonance ceramic mounting base shields against unwanted parasitic vibration.
