The Focal Aria 906 is a stunning 2-way bookshelf speaker, featuring the same refined high-end acoustics and superb value as the rest of the Aria range. Thanks to the use of Focal's flax cone technology, the Aria 906 has the admirable tonal characteristics of neutrality, presence and finesse.
The Aria 906 is designed with neutrality in mind, and with ultra-rigid MDF construction and non-parallel side panels this is achieved thanks to the minimal vibration. The polyurethane tweeter design with waveguide technology offers improved sound image and horizontal directivity, contributing to the superb soundstaging and pinpoint accuracy of these speakers.
The design and build quality of the Aria 906 is well and truly premium. From the leather front, to the premium wood veneer cabinet and glossy top surface; the Aria 906 is an expertly designed and finished speaker.
Flax Sandwich Cone
The Flax cone design is a new concept based around high-quality flax fibres, designed to provide superior acoustic performance and originality. Offering natural sound reproduction with low colouration, rich midrange and tight, tuneful bass.
Flax is twice as light as fibreglass, due to the hollow nature of the fibre. It also has extremely low elasticity, making it an ideal material to increase the rigidity of a sandwich structure.
'It's a big sound. There's a sense of scale here that we rarely, if ever, hear at this price point. It's tall, wide, muscular and effortlessly encompassing' (What Hi-Fi? magazine)
'The Focal Aria 906s are very enjoyable, respectable speakers. If you value standmounters with scale, power and refinement, you won’t find better for the money.' (What Hi-Fi? magazine)
'It’s a mature, stable performance with considerable polish. And yet, the Focals aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Far-reaching dynamics ensure there’s strong kick where necessary, and a keen sense of timing drives tracks along confidently without seeming pushy.' (What Hi-Fi? magazine)
