Completing the Dali Opticon line-up and any serious home cinema sound system, the Opticon Vokal centre speaker presents the perfect balance of power and control. Arguably the most crucial component of cinema surround handling the bulk of the direct front action, the Vokal delivers clear movie dialogue and crisp detail that doesn't get lost amongst the effects and incidental music of movie soundtracks
Dali Opticon is essentially a replacement for the older Dali Ikon range, building on Dali's success with the higher end Rubicon and Epicon speakers, bringing their experience with these higher end speakers into this stunning Opticon range while offering incredible value for money and a significant upgrade over the Dali Zensor range.
The mounting of the drivers and the final tests and approvals on each and every speaker is also handled directly at our own assembly lines in our Danish factory. Perfect with any Opticon compact speaker, the Opticon Vokal is at the same time powerful enough to match the Opticon 8.
All elements of the DALI drivers are designed, produced and manufactored in-house in DALI. Firstly, armed with our sublime 6½ inch low-loss Wood Fibre Woofer, Hybrid Tweeter module and front-pointing bass port, you can be assured that the action on the screen in front of you is seamlessly soundtracked, with deftly handled detail drawing you deeper in.
DALI MDF CABINETS
Keeping the manufacturing of the Opticon series firmly in the hands of DALI we utilize our large and efficient woodworking facility in Denmark to handle everything from cutting out the Medium Density Fibre board (MDF) cabinet to applying the vinyl.
In the OPTICON woofer magnet motor system the pole piece is purelyconstructed of SMC. SMC’s unique ability to deliver a high magnetic conductivity and a very low electrical conductivity delivers all the wanted qualities of a really good speaker magnet without the traditional downsides.
With an eye on practicality, the Opticon Vokal has also been designed to fit most makes of Hi-Fi furniture due to the front facing bass ports, meaning it can be neatly stowed away – a plus point for aesthetically minded home owners and home cinema custom installers alike.
The Opticon Vokal features the same low-loss Wood Fibre Woofer found in our flagship EPICON series, alongside our unique SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) magnet motor system and a reworked version of our Hybrid Tweeter module also found in the RUBICON, all of which works together along with a individual bass reflex port for the woofer to produce audio exactly as the recording artist originally envisioned it.
