Product Description

Bluesound PowerNode 2i is the latest version of the amplified version of the award-winning Node 2. Using new audio technology from their award-winning sister company NAD Electronics, the Bluesound PowerNode 2i is a class-leading streaming amplifier. This model can do whatever the Node 2i streamer can do, but with the addition of an amplifier.

Generation 2I

Bluesound Generation 2i, builds on the success of the originals and continues to strengthen the range with dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Apple AirPlay 2 support, upgraded Bluetooth codecs, improved amplification/acoustics and more while maintaining value for consumers. The Powernode 2i now features two Toslink/3.5mm Optical and Analogue inputs. These provide improved connectivity and flexibility.

HybridDigital Amp

Whist Node 2i enables the addition of numerous streaming choices to your current hifi setup for streaming audio to other Bluesound speakers, the PowerNode 2i effectually grants a zone on a Bluesound multi-room system with your choice of hi-fi speakers.

Using Bluesound's award-winning, state-of-the-art, audiophile-grade Hybrid-Digital design amplifier and a DAC that brings dynamic power and fast delivery to your high-resolution music collection. The audio signal is without distortion, that Bluesound is known for, the PowerNode 2i allows you to take your favourite music to the next level.

Precision and Clarity

Made for high-resolution music, PowerNode 2i uses industry-leading 1GHz ARM Cortex-9 Multi-core processors. Bluesound's Node 2i is built around a 32-bit architecture with 8x oversampling, which is paired with a new innovative HybridDigital Amplifier and a DAC that ensures that your lossless high-resolution music is reproduced accurately and at speed irrespective of the level of volume.

Apple AirPlay 2

Bluesound Pulse Flex 2i is designed to support AirPlay 2 (to be delivered to Gen 2i owners via upcoming software update). With AirPlay 2, you can stream just about any sound from iPhone, iPad, or Mac to your Bluesound system — all in sync. Stream podcasts, songs and books from your apps or view videos on Apple devices as you stream the audio PowerNode 2i – play Netflix on your iPad complimented by room-filling premium sound.

With AirPlay 2, users are given further control options such as Siri for voice control. Once you add your Gen 2i Player to the Apple Home App on your iPhone or iPad, Apple Music subscribers can use their iOS device or HomePod to make requests to siri for instance to play your preferred music genre or turn the volume up in a certain room. Using the BluOS app to pair a PowerNode 2i with older Bluesound Players, current customers can add AirPlay 2 functionality to their full BluOS set up.

World of Music

With this unit, you can instantly gain access to millions of online songs. Plus, you can connect to premium high-resolution music services (i.e.TIDAL Masters, Spotify and Qobuz) as well as many other popular music services and internet radio stations are already built-in. You can access your downloads, your iTunes library, or a USB NAS hard drive, without ever turning on a computer. With the possibility to play FLAC and MQA files you can open up your Hi-Fi to the wonderful quality of loss-less high-resolution playback

Multiroom Sound

The PowerNode 2i connects to your home Wi-Fi network quickly and easily. The antenna for the Wi-Fi is an advanced design and coupled with the super fast ARM Cortex A9 Processors, ensures that there are no skips or delays when streaming high-resolution audio around the home. You will have the ability to play your music in synchrony around your home or play different music simultaneously, to other players around your house.

Two-Way aptX Bluetooth

Gen 2i contains Bluesound’s most advanced take on Bluetooth to date - two-way Bluetooth, featuring both Receive and Transmit functionality. The “Receive” feature allows wireless streaming to a Bluesound Player. The Transmit capability lets users now use their Bluesound Gen 2i Player as a source, sending what they are listening to via Bluetooth to a pair of wireless headphones.

While improving the Bluetooth connectivity in Gen 2i, audio quality improvements are also ensured. The progressive Qualcomm CSR8675 chip facilitates the superior wireless aptX HD codec delivering 24-bit audio over Bluetooth and improving the noise floor for least background noise. With support for up to 24bit/48kHz, streaming from an aptX HD compatible device to PowerNode 2i provides better-than-CD quality, wirelessly for modern convenience and uncompromised quality.

Dual-Band Wi-Fi

Bluesound has upgraded the Wi-Fi chipset technology to the latest and greatest Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) dual-band offering. This allows you to take advantage of the less noisy 5 GHz band if needed resulting in faster connection times and fewer interruptions from other network traffic.

BluOS 3.0

Updating to BluOS 3.0, all BluOS users will gain access to new music services like SOUNDMACHINE and Taihe Music Zone (China only) and an easier guided set-up process. BluOS 3.0 also contains specific support for Gen 2i features like two-way Bluetooth with aptX HD, and enhanced audio EQ settings including wide mode and deep bass.
