Product Description
Extending the benefits of the revolutionary GN LEGACY VS-1 Vibration Stabiliser to a much wider audience, the Black Rhodium Samba VS-1 Cable features all the plaudits of highly successful Samba with improved Rhythm and Beat through Vibration Control
Vibration Stabiliser
The SAMBA VS-1 applies the musical advantages of the Graham Nalty LEGACY VS-1 Vibration Stabiliser to the award wining SAMBA loudspeaker cable. The vibration stabiliser has been specially designed to reduce audible cable distortion in cables by limiting the effects of vibrations travelling through the conductor wires which can cause audible distortion to your music.
Low Transient Phase Distortion
Providing clear diction of a singer’s voice and separating musical instruments superbly through a dramatic reduction of ‘Transient Phase Distortion’, the cable uses thicker insulation than usual increasing the distance between conductors and reducing the magnetic field seen in each conductor wire for clearer and more open sound quality.
Anti RFI / EMI Technology
SAMBA VS-1 is continuously twisted along its length reducing surface area to prevent it from acting as a loop aerial. It avoids attracting RFI/EMI signals generated from Radio, Wifi, Mobile Phones and even central heating systems. Additional RFI/EMI filtering is also applied directly to the conductor wire preventing high frequency noise modulating the signal at either end of the cable.
Both of the above treatments are designed to reduce the amount of audible distortion in the cable, allowing clearer sounds to be generated from your equipment.
Advanced Manufacturing Techniques
The Black Rhodium SAMBA VS-1 uses two silver plated copper cores for positive and negative signal flows. Connected in opposite directions, the noise floor between the musical notes lowers giving ‘blacker’ silences in the interval between musical notes and enhances the reproduction of musical edges and natural decays in music.
Silicone rubber insulation is used due to low dielectric loss which ensures very low distortion due to dielectric absorption effects in which sound energy is absorbed in the insulation and released at a later time to create highly audible time-smearing distortion.
‘Straight Line Contact’ Rhodium Plated Connectors
Terminated with the revolutionary ‘Straight Line Contact’ Banana Plugs designed by Graham Nalty, a rhodium plating is applied to the plugs to maintain a clean and less corroded contact between the plug and socket. This gives it a much livelier effect and more exciting sound from the music.
Additional security of the connection between the cable and plug is provided by a set screw that clamps the outer insulation of the wire.
Press Reviews
-
'The Samba VS-1 is ideally suited to orchestral music and classical fans will appreciate its ability to tease out complex layers of rich instrumentation. But it is equally at home with more intimate music where the perceived low distortion enables subtle voices and acoustic instruments to communicate their full emotional content.' (Hi-Fi Choice Magazine January 2015)
-
'These feature-packed cables are a sensibly priced upgrade that will bring positive virtues to many musical styles and systems. Thoroughly recommended.' (Hi-Fi Choice Magazine January 2015)
