Audiolab M-One is an all-in-one hi-fi system designed to stream the latest in high res audio content, play music stored on your Mac or PC, stream via Bluetooth or via any other music source connected to its range of digital and analogue inputs. With a 60W per channel Class A/B amplifier on board, it will drive most speakers with ease.
Range of Source Options
M-One is designed to stream the latest in high res music content, right upto DSD256 files as well as support for files upto 32-bit/384kHz over the USB A connection. This makes it one of the best featured all-in-one hi-fi systems for high res music listening.
As well as support for such content, M-One includes standard RCA (analogue) inputs which can be used for your turntable (with suitable separate phono stage) along with several digital inputs (including optical, coaxial, and 2 x USB). The USB inputs cover both Apple and PC/Laptop devices so you can connect and stream from almost anything.
High Grade Components
An ESS9018 K2M DAC is built in to the unit which is the slightly smaller version of the ESS9018 eight-channel DAC chip used in the M-DAC+. Like the M-DAC and M-DAC+ it also includes a dedicated headphone amplifier section, so its ideal both for driving almost any headphones, as well as an amplifier for bookshelf or floorstanding speakers.
All in One System
As a choice over the M-DAC or M-DAC+, while the M-One isn't quite as impressive as the M-DAC+ as a stand-alone DAC within a larger system, if you want the convenience of a single system in a box, the M-One offers almost everything that Audiolab's DAC models do with the added benefit of its 60W amplification to drive your speakers (negating the need for a separate power amplifier)
This is one of the most fully featured, best sounding all-in-one hi-fi systems that we've sold, with the added benefit of its slim design that easily allows you to position it on your desktop. Just add a suitable pair of bookshelf speakers (or if you have the space, a pair of floorstanders).
'In effect then, the M-ONE is a sort of affordable audiophile product for those with limited space, or those that don’t have either the time or the inclination to have a separates hi-fi system in their room.' (Hi-Fi Choice Magazine November 2016)
'The M-ONE sounds much more like a grown-up hi-fi system than its diminutive size would suggest... the M-ONE is a dry and clean-sounding performer, with a detailed midband and taut, tidy and tuneful bass. At the other end of the frequency spectrum, it sounds crisp and fairly spacious with a clear and inoffensive treble. Indeed, whatever type of music you play, you’ll always get this kind of tidy and detailed sound.' (Hi-Fi Choice Magazine November 2016)
'Indeed, given the chance with a good recording, the Audiolab can sound surprisingly big. Image placement is stronger than you’d expect for a one-boxer, and there’s a decent degree of depth.' (Hi-Fi Choice Magazine November 2016)
'A fine little single-box system, this strengthens Audiolab’s M-series range and gives punters like us the chance to get a compact all-in-one system with some real audiophile credentials. It’s pretty simple to use, flexible and sounds surprisingly good with no obvious power limitations for most people in most situations where it’s likely to find itself.'
