The Arcam CDS-27 combines a CD player, along with a high performance streamer with support upto high rest 192kHz/24bit files. It raises the performance bar and is designed with a single purpose; to deliver the very best music experience whether you're streaming music or playing CDs.
High Resolution DAC
Housing the class leading TI/Burr Brown PCM1794 DAC, the CDS-27 also uses a high precision re-clocking system alongside with a power supply specifically designed for outright performance. The player has single-ended and balanced outputs and also comes with IR and full duplex IP and RS232 control.
This TI/Burr Brown PCM1794 DAC, coupled with a linear phase Bessel output filter and a high precision re-clocking system result in a remarkably high level of audio quality. Discreet sub-regulated power supplies on the drive, audio and DAC boards deliver significant benefits to the overall performance of each element allowing each section to work truly independently and without interference.
Easy Music Streaming
UPnP and CIFS compatibility allow for effortless integration into networks allowing the CDS27 to access stored content with ease. As with all its FMJ devices, Arcam has gone to incredible lengths to maximise the performance of this next generation player.
A perfect match for any of Arcam's integrated amplifiers (the Arcam A19, A29, A39 or A49) in an Arcam system, or indeed within any other hi-fi system.
'...the deep percussive punches, which reveal the CDS27’s ability to go low without losing control. The rhythm alternatively rises and falls in its complexity and an almost-military relentlessness but even in its fullest-blown moments every element can be defined here – with befitting verve and timing' (Hi-Fi World magazine)
