Speaker Systems These combine two speakers with a
subwoofer and are perfect for a desktop speaker system for your Mac, PC,
Laptop etc. if you don't have space for larger active speakers and want
extra bass! |
Active Speakers
These speakers include an internal amplifier (usually in the left speaker) and
include everything you need to get started - enjoy them straight out of
the box with your iDevice, computer, etc. |

Speakers Once upon a time all you could buy were cheap,
plastiky portable speakers. Well not any more! You'll be shocked how

For the best sound, dedicated hi-fi speakers
should always sound better than active speakers. You need more to get started
but a well set-up hi-fi system can sound incredible. These speakers are designed to be paired with a stereo
amplifier or receiver or an amplified hi-fi
system (amplifier, CD player, dock, etc in one). Don't forget you'll also
need to buy speaker cable.

Designed for the living room and smaller spaces. Bookshelf speakers can be placed on a table
or book shelf but will always sound their best on a pair of dedicated speaker

Floorstanding speakers are designed to offer the treble and mid-range
